Steve Jobs at Aspen 1983 international design conference

The Steve Jobs Archive, which was launched by Laurene Powell Jobs, Tim Cook, and Jony Ive, has shared an hour-long video of a then 28 year old Steve Jobs speaking in Aspen at the 1983 International Design Conference, as well as some thoughts from Jony Ive, and a nice collection of old photographs and Apple ads.

In the main video, Steve can be seen making jokes, discussing computers and their design, the future of computing, and how computers will impact our lives.

Further down the page there are also a series of “Before and After Steve’s Talk” videos on a variety of subjects, from artificial intelligence, to making computers intuitive, who needs a computer, simplicity in design, and more.

If you’re a fan of watching Steve Jobs speeches and communications, or just a general fan of retro Apple and computing history, you’ll surely appreciate this one.

The full video of the presentation, which is nearly an hour long, is available to watch on towards the very bottom of the webpage. Further down the ‘Objects of Our Life’ page has the additional addendum videos as well.

The main video has also been uploaded to YouTube separately by someone unrelated to the Steve Jobs Archive, which is embedded below:

Enjoy!
