Tim Cook visits Apple UK headquarters with King Charles III

Apple CEO Tim Cook on Thursday visited Apple’s UK headquarters accompanied by His Majesty King Charles III. Cook, who has been spending a few days in London, took the opportunity to invite the king to visit the company’s offices and meet with students from local educational programs supported by Apple.

As shared by Apple (via The Apple Post), members from across the UK welcomed King Charles III to the historic Battersea Power Station, which has been Apple’s UK headquarters since 2023. Given the situation, Apple also invited children from St. George’s Primary School to create holiday artwork on the iPad that would then be projected onto the building’s iconic chimneys.

“We were honored to welcome His Majesty King Charles to Apple Battersea — our home in the U.K. — and we’re proud to support The King’s Trust in its vital work educating and empowering young people,” said Cook. “We look forward to our continued growth here, building on more than 40 years of history in the United Kingdom.”

Together with the UK non-profit organization The King’s Trust, Apple supports many programs that encourage students to learn how to code. Some of the students had the chance to show their projects to Tim Cook and King Charles.

During the event, Tim Cook presented the King with a metal plaque celebrating his visit. The event ended with a concert by award-winning British musician RAYE.

Earlier this month, Apple partnered with Aardman, the multi-award-winning animation studio, to create a short stop-motion animation of Wallace & Gromit using the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s camera. The animation was also projected onto the chimneys of Battersea Power Station in London.
