Apple TV+ has some beloved comedies among its best series, and a new show coming in early 2025 looks set to join them. It’s called The Studio, and Apple just dropped the first trailer.

‘The Studio’ has Hollywood setting and is star-packed

The Studio is set in the wild world of Hollywood filmmaking, and is the brainchild of Seth Rogen. Rogen stars in the series and is also writer, director, and executive producer. This marks his second Rogen comedy with Apple following 2023’s Platonic.

The Studio will debut on Wednesday, March 26 with its first two episodes on Apple TV+, followed by weekly releases through May 21. There will be 10 half-hour episodes total.

Here’s the show summary:

In “The Studio,” Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.

Notably, as you’ll see in the trailer below, The Studio is packed with stars. Joining Rogan are:

  • Bryan Cranston
  • Catherine O’Hara
  • Kathryn Hahn
  • and Martin Scorsese even makes an appearance

9to5Mac’s Take

The Studio looks like a ton of fun, and it will debut right as Mythic Quest season 4 ends, ensuring Apple TV+ will provide a great comedy every week for nearly the entire first half of 2025.
