MacOS Sequoia Public Beta Now Available to Download for Anyone

Apple has released the first public beta version of MacOS Sequoia 15, beginning the public beta testing program for any Mac user who is interested in running beta versions of the upcoming system software release.

The first MacOS Sequoia beta arrives along with iOS 18 public beta and iPadOS 18 public beta as well.

MacOS Sequoia includes some notable new features for the Mac, including the ability to mirror an iPhone to the Mac, a dedicated Passwords app, new window tiling features, a redesigned Photos app, improvements to Safari, new AI Apple Intelligence features throughout the operating system to offer features like webpage summaries and help writing in apps, and much more.

While technically any user has been able to register for the developer beta testing programs and install the various betas onto their devices, the public beta is better suited for more casual users. Nonetheless, public beta testers should still expect to encounter bugs and other issues that are typical with betas, making them most appropriate for advanced users on secondary hardware.

Mac users who are interested in installing the macOS Sequoia public beta can begin the process by going to beta.apple.com here and signing up to participate in the beta program. This then allows them to install the public beta onto their eligible Mac.

Apple has said the final version of MacOS Sequoia will arrive this fall, along with the final versions of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
