iOS 18.0.1 now available features

As expected, Apple is now rolling out iOS 18.0.1 to iPhone users. This update comes three weeks after iOS 18 was released to the general public. Head below for the full release notes and details on what’s new.

The build number for iOS 18.0.1 is 22A3370. The update is available for all iPhones that can run iOS 18. Just head to the Settings app, choose “General,” then choose “Software Update.” The update will then download and install as your iPhone reboots.

iOS 18.0.1 release notes

Apple says that iOS 18.0.1 “provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone.”

  • Touch screen may be temporarily unresponsive in certain circumstances on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models
  • Camera may freeze when recording macro mode video on the Ultra Wide camera in 4K with HDR turned off on iPhone 16 Pro models
  • Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face
  • Performance may be impacted due to an issue with memory allocation on some iPhone

Since iOS 18 was released earlier this month, a smaller number of notable bugs and glitches have emerged. For example, there’s a problem in Messages that causes the app to crash repeatedly and can lead to data loss, as we were first to discover last week. Some iOS 18 and iPhone 16 users have also noticed touchscreen responsiveness issues, as we reported last week.

While iOS 18.0.1 will focus on bug fixes and other improvements, Apple is also working on iOS 18.1. This update will contain the first Apple Intelligence features and a number of other changes. Apple has confirmed that iOS 18.1 will be released sometime in October.

Have you noticed any bugs in iOS 18 since it was released last week? Are they fixed in today’s iOS 18.0.1 update? Let us know down in the comments.
