Following yesterday’s launch of the iPad mini 7, Apple has also made a couple of changes to the cheapest iPad in the line-up in a number of European countries.

The box no longer contains a charger, only a USB-C cable, and that has been offset by a price cut …

In the UK, for example, the price has been reduced from £349 to £329. The cheapest charging brick Apple sells for the iPad is the 20W USB-C Power Adapter at £19, meaning that this is effectively price-neutral. (You’re better off to the tune of £1.)

In France and several other Eurozone countries, the price cut is €30, from €439 down to €409, and the 20W charging adapter costs €25, so you save €5.

Interestingly, MacRumors notes that the company hasn’t done the same in the US. Here, the charger remains in the box, and the price remains the same.
