Apple today unveiled the new smaller Mac mini, with M4 and M4 Pro chip options. The new Mini measures 5×5 inches square, significantly smaller than the generation it replaces.

In addition to the new chassis design, the new Mac mini is significantly faster than the previous generation. Apple skipped M3 for the Mac mini, so the previous most powerful model was powered by a M2 Pro chip.
Compared to M2 Pro, Apple says the M4 Mac mini is up to 1.6x faster on CPU and 1.5x faster on GPU.
