Apple honors Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter, the 30th president of the United States, died on Sunday at 100. Apple has now updated its homepage to pay tribute to President Carter, the longest-living president in American history.

If you visit Apple.com today, you’ll see a full-page tribute to Carter that recognizes his life from 1924 to 2024 alongside a black-and-white image.

Apple CEO Tim Cook also honored President Carter on social media yesterday:

Today, we honor President Carter’s lifetime of service and his commitment to leaving the world better than he found it. May he rest in peace.

President Carter’s official state funeral will be held in Washington, DC on January 9. President Biden also declared January 9 a national day of mourning and ordered flags to be flown at half-mast for 30 days.
